Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key) is a Japanese word which means Universal Energy. Reiki is a blend of cosmic energy (Rei) and the energy within us (Ki). It is the energy of life, of growth and healing.
Reiki is a natural healing art and a spiritual discipline. In a Reiki session, sometimes called Reiki healing, energy travels through the practitioners hands – to yourself or to others. It can operate on all levels of our being: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.
For a person in good health, Reiki offers a pleasant way to relax, to relieve stress, and to increase energy and vitality. Reiki therapy may be used to facilitate the healing of illness and help the individual return to a state of balance and wholeness. It may strengthen the immune system, eliminate toxins and release emotional issues. As it works on all levels of our being, Reiki provides a powerful tool for growth and personal transformation.
Everyone can learn Reiki. All that is required is a willingness to connect with this form of life-energy.
A Reiki session, is sometimes called a Reiki healing, or a Reiki treatment. A session lasts approximately an hour and a quarter. It is usually done with the person lying down, fully clothed on a couch. It is possible to accommodate those who are unable to lie down. I place my hands gently on your body in a sequence of positions, holding each one for several minutes.

I have an infectious sense of humour and encourage others to find and celebrate their own gifts and abilities. I believe practising Reiki can improve everyone’s quality of life and empower them to find balance and happiness in living. Reiki is an experience that unfolds by receiving it.
